VTP - Fast Spool File Transfer from VM to Power
VTP (VM to Power) transfers VM print output of any virtual machine into the VSE Power list queue. For this purpose, VTP may be run either permanently or only specifically after the transfer of a VM spool file to a VSE machine.
VTP reads the spool file and puts the data into the Power Print Queue. Optionally, the Power print class, disposition, destination, etc., can be specified by the VM spool file sender.

Advantages:

1. XTF standardizes the spooling system to VSE Power
   
   
2. dramatic reduction of IO's compared with the transfer of spool files by RSCS, as XTF transfers the data by spool blocks, and not on a record basis.
   
   
3. relief of VSE lockfile, as Power need not be shared with other spooling systems.
